Mortars HYSTORY:The
most ancient decorated and glazed pharmacys jars belong to
XIII and XIV centuries, decorated in green and manganese. Following
the evolution process of the ceramic, over the XVII century, started
the glazed styles hand making and polychromatic pieces that were
really plenty on the XVIII century. Certainly realized by talented
commissioned master potters. Done by hand, one by one, hand painted
these ceramic mortars of Apothecary (old Latin word to |

designate the pharmacy) were
the pride of the pharmacists until the invasion of the chemical era.
Those mortars were used to prepair the balms and medications, and
most often vegetal mixtures than our ancestors used to ill trough the
last centuries. Every set is considered as a very exclusive piece of
art that we are glad to propose today .
